Who's Hui? (con't)

I spent most of my bubble-wrapped teenage in Arcadia, never really went out, never really had fun... I filled my days up with school activities, studied pretty hard, played a lot of Sims, and played a lot of WoW. Somehow, I got into college. So, I left. Then, I lived.

in the Bay Area!
I fell in love with the Bay Area.

I love it for its weather, its culture, its lifestyle... OMG I miss it up there...

Yes. I *Miss* it up there. I do not live in the Bay Area anymore! tears

I am in a long distance relationship with my Bay Area. tears

I left the Bay Area to move back to Arcadia, thank you! Economy! I had to live with my parents for a little while to save some money while I was working my very first full-time job in the non-profit sector. But, in the back of my mind, I always had the Bay Area... telling myself I will move back there soon enough. Everyday I woke up, telling myself I was going back to the bay, while I was trying to survive Los Angeles.

What a bad way to live for way too many months...

For the first many months when I had just moved back to Arcadia. I was very grumpy, very sad, very awkward, very fucked up. I hated my job. I hated my lifestyle. I hated my family. I hated myself. I hated EVERYTHING!

As time went on... that "a little while" had become a "pretty long while"... and, many other important factors in my life had persuaded me to believe I might be better off staying down here... at least for a "much longer while than 'a little while'".

Damn it.

Okay. Fine.

I can either approach this with an unhealthy negative attitude, "Fuck! I am stuck here! I am gonna hate this place even more! I am gonna hate myself! hate my family! hate my living arrangement! arhhkgjhlkbja!"

Or, I can make an effort to keep a constructive positive attitude, "Hey, let's explore the San Gabriel Valley/Los Angeles area as a young adult! I am not in my teenage anymore, and now I have a car!"

So, I switched job, signed up for some hobby classes, joined E-harmony, switched from PC to Mac, and started to... love more.

And, I wish to continue to stay positive. I am telling you. The hater route was rough.

So there, now you know! This blog here is my coping tool.

And, who knows? Maybe someday I could fall in love with the San Gabriel Valley/Los Angeles too.
